The EPC3000 controller is the suggested replacement for the 2400 and 2200 ranges, offering improved performance at a comparable price, as well as native Ethernet communications certified to Achilles® Communications Robustness Testing Level 1. The EPC3000 controller offers the same panel sizes (DIN) as the affected 2000 Series Controllers in 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 variants.
The most significant functionality not available in the EPC3000 controller is PDSIO (Pulse density signaling I/O). Similar functions are available via the CT input on the EPC3000 or 3200 controllers, or via broadcast master comms.
Key Benefits of the EPC3000 Controller
- Enhanced Precision Control - EPC3000 range has high precision, high thermal stability inputs. In combination with updated and enhanced control functions and optimized autotune performance, the EPC3000 range provides improved control stability, repeatability and time to setpoint in comparison to the 2000 Series controllers. Benefits may include improved process yield and reduced scrap.
- Graphical Wiring Environment - The GWE is an extremely easy way to create applications. It allows users to select the function blocks they wish to use in their application and then connect them together using ‘Soft Wiring’. The GWE gives the user a pictorial view of exactly what has been configured and can also be used to monitor runtime conditions.
- Ethernet Connectivity - Ethernet communications are supported via a standard RJ45 connector, providing fast access to process and diagnostic information as well as connectivity to an external PLC or a plant SCADA.
Cybersecurity - The EPC3000 Ethernet-enabled controller range is the first Eurotherm controller to be designed and certified to meet the stringent cybersecurity requirements of Achilles® Communications Robustness Testing

Oracle drive systems starts 2019 by completing £100k project upgrading PLC and Drive communications!05/03/2019
We’re pleased to announce a great start to 2019 with Oracle Drive Systems winning and completing a £100k project to upgrade the PLC and communications on one of our customers largest machines.
The customer originally had a very old Texas Instruments PLC, which was working as it should but if a break down was to happen, spares are becoming harder to source even in the used and refurbished market. The customer had decided they wanted a new Rockwell PLC which would be part of the plants standardisation of parts.
The PLC controlled 10 Parker 590 drives, the drives themselves were kept but they had no communications options fitted, so Parker LINKnet devices were added to all the drives allowing Ethernet connections directly to the PLC which would also be connected to the HMI. This creates a complete drive network and becomes a multimaster system, which allows the drives to communicate with other drives at high speed, passing speed references etc, which will allow for more advanced process control and scope for control improvement. Multiple drives can be monitored and trended at the same time.
We also included a full set of redrawn Electrical Schematic Diagrams (approx. 100 pages) provided to the customer in electronic format (PDF and DWG).
Bridging Solution for LINK 1/2 to LINKnet07/11/2018
LINK1/2 to LINKNET bridging solution from Parker
This newest addition to Parker’s drive catalog creates a seamless interface between legacy 16 bit LINK fiber optic networks and current 32 bit LINKnet CAT6 based networks. This allows for planned incremental upgrade of legacy LINK fiber optic systems. It also makes it possible for emergency replacement of obsolete LINK fiber optic components with current LINKnet components while leaving the remainder of the LINK fiber optic network intact. With the LINKbridge, legacy Parker customers can update to LINKnet in stages instead of replacing a legacy system as a whole. Once a system is fully upgraded, the LINKbridge can be reused for your next project.
- Compatible with both AC and DC Parker Drives
- Compatible with all legacy LINK fiber optic drives and components
- Configurable with DSE
- DIN rail mountable
- USB port for programming with DSE
- Ethernet port for connecting into LINKnet network/Ethernet network
- Power supply input (24 VDC)

Oracle Drive Systems - Investing in young people, British design and manufacturing for the future.05/04/2016
We were proud to sponsor a local student when they approached us to help fund in the manufacturing of his final year project.
Andrew Appletons designs were based on animal skin patterns and drawing inspiration from Alexander McQueen and Mary Katrantzou who create the effect of texture through digital printing methods.
We wish Andrew all the best for the future and good luck on his exhibition trip to New York where he will be showing his work to leading design companies at the Surtex design show.
Oracle Drive Systems…. Not just drives
Hartlepool Mail Newspaper Featuring Oracle Drive Systems23/07/2015
A business is continuing to grow and take on staff thanks to its growing online presence.
Hartlepool man John Mullins, 44, owns and runs Oracle Drive Systems as its managing director.
He said: “We now have opened an online store and have taken on full-time staff to manage it. We are selling variable speed drives and automation products on here, and you can also buy engineering time, so you buy your drive and the engineering services time for us to come and install it and commissioning it for you.”
Oracle’s success comes through its links with high-profile firms and through being a distributor for a US-based automation products firm.
Mr Mullins said Oracle was “adding more products daily” to its website and has already taken orders from as far afield as Egypt.
Its new additions to the team includes a senior projects engineer who lives in Sunderland and is “experienced in robots and visions systems”.
Mr Mullins said staffing levels had now increased to eight, “including an apprentice who is studying full-time at Hartlepool College of Further Education”.
Mr Mullins told how the company was going through really successful times.
“We had an excellent year last year producing the second best results in our history, and so far since April we are on course to exceed our best sales turnover ever.”
He said the company also had a full order book.
Oracle Drive Systems has been trading since 2004 and was a self-funded venture.
